BKJ63Nd circuit breakers are compact devices designed to protect electrical circuits against overloads and short circuits. Characteristics and application

The BKJ63Nd series includes three-pole circuit breakers with a rated current of 63A and characteristic D. Characteristic D means a delayed response to current increase, which makes these circuit breakers particularly useful for protecting circuits with receivers with high inrush current, such as motors, transformers or heating devices. These circuit breakers effectively protect the installation from damage caused by short-term overloads, while minimizing the risk of unnecessary circuit tripping. Application in industry, construction and the service sector is very wide.

Construction and mounting

BKJ63Nd circuit breakers are mounted on a standard 35mm DIN rail. Their compact dimensions (17.8mm width per pole) allow for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. They have screw terminals or lugs, which facilitate the connection of wires with a cross-section of up to 25mm². The circuit breakers meet the standards IEC 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2, which confirms their compliance with European safety standards. They provide high resistance to voltage impulses (4kV) and working insulation up to 500V. Mechanical endurance is 20,000 cycles, and electrical endurance – 10,000 cycles, which guarantees long-term and trouble-free operation of the device.
