Overcurrent circuit breaker, 6kA BKJ63Nd series 3P 6A characteristic C BKJ63Nd 3P C6 BKJ63ND 3P C6
Circuit breakers of the BKJ63Nd series are components used to protect electrical circuits against overloads and short circuits. The BKJ63Nd 3P 6A model with characteristic C is a three-pole breaker designed for installation in systems with a voltage of 415V AC. It is a universal solution suitable for both home and commercial installations.
Characteristics and application
BKJ63Nd circuit breakers are characterized by high reliability and durability. The construction based on IEC 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2 standards guarantees safety and compliance with applicable standards. Characteristic C means that the breaker reacts with a delay to short-term current surges, which is particularly important when protecting circuits with receivers with high inrush current – e.g. motors or transformers. This minimizes the risk of unnecessary tripping of the device during normal operation. This breaker is used in lighting circuits, electrical outlets and for protecting electrical equipment.
Construction and mounting
BKJ63Nd circuit breakers are mounted on a standard 35mm DIN rail. They have screw terminals or lugs (depending on the version), which ensures easy and secure mounting of cables with a cross-section of up to 25mm². The compact dimensions (17.8mm wide per pole) allow for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. These breakers are designed to operate in an ambient temperature from -5°C to +40°C, making them suitable for most installation conditions. The mechanical life of the breaker is 20,000 cycles, and the electrical life – 10,000 cycles, which proves its long life and reliability.
Parameters and safety
BKJ63Nd circuit breakers provide effective protection against the effects of overloads and short circuits, guaranteeing the safety of the electrical installation and connected devices. They have a short-circuit breaking capacity of up to 6kA at a voltage of 240/415V AC, which means they can interrupt a short-circuit current of this value without damaging the device. The IP20 degree of protection provides protection against accidental contact, but does not protect against the effects of water or dust – therefore, appropriate operating conditions of the breaker should be ensured.
