Overcurrent circuit breaker BKJ63Nd is a safety element protecting electrical installations against overloads and short circuits. Designed for mounting on a 35mm DIN rail, it provides reliable protection in circuits with a rated current of up to 63A. This four-pole (4P) circuit breaker with B characteristic and a rated current of 32A is ideal for protecting circuits with a resistive-inductive nature, where short-term current surges occur, such as those associated with starting motors or heating devices.

Characteristics and application

BKJ63Nd series circuit breakers are characterized by high resistance to mechanical and electrical damage, which guarantees long-term and trouble-free operation. The B characteristic means that the circuit breaker reacts quickly to short-circuit currents but tolerates short-term overloads, typical of devices with inductive elements. This minimizes the risk of unnecessary tripping of the circuit during normal operation of devices. It finds application in building installations – residential and commercial – as well as in industrial facilities.

Construction and mounting

The BKJ63Nd circuit breaker has screw terminals and lugs, allowing flexible connection of wires with a cross-section of up to 25mm². Mounting is done by snapping onto a standard 35mm DIN rail – this process is quick and intuitive. Compact dimensions (17.8mm wide per pole) allow for efficient use of space in the distribution board. The circuit breaker meets the requirements of IEC 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2 standards, confirming its safety and compliance with applicable standards. It ensures high reliability of operation thanks to electrical endurance of 10,000 cycles and mechanical – 20,000 cycles.
