The BKN 1P 3A circuit breaker with characteristic B is a protective element designed to protect electrical circuits against overloads and short circuits. Designed by Aniro, this single-pole circuit breaker combines compact dimensions with high efficiency, making it an ideal solution for both installers and end users. Its versatility makes it applicable in various electrical installations, ensuring safety and continuity of power supply.

Characteristics and application

The BKN circuit breaker with characteristic B is characterized by a fast reaction time to current increase, which is particularly important in circuits with receivers with high inrush current – for example, motors. This means that the circuit breaker quickly cuts off the power in the event of a short circuit, minimizing the risk of damage to wires and devices. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity is 6kA at 400V, which guarantees effective protection even in difficult conditions. Mounting is done on a standard 35mm DIN rail, which facilitates and speeds up installation. This circuit breaker is adapted to work in installations with a voltage of 230/400VAC and has a width of 17.8mm per pole – which allows for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. The rated current of 3A is suitable for protecting circuits with lower power consumption, and the B characteristic ensures a quick response to current increases in circuits with inductive loads (e.g. motors).

Construction and design features

The BKN circuit breaker is made of high-quality materials, which ensures its durability and reliability. It has a thermal-magnetic release principle, which means that it reacts to both thermal overloads (long-term flow of current above the rated value) and sudden current increases (short circuit). The use of lug terminals allows connection of wires with a cross-section of up to 25mm², ensuring a solid and safe electrical connection.
