PLC controller LS Electric XEC-DP14E
Compact PLC controller for industrial automation
The LS Electric XEC-DP14E controller is a versatile device designed to control various automation processes. It provides reliable operation and flexible configuration, making it suitable for both simple applications and more complex systems. Its design allows for expansion with additional modules, adapting functionality to specific project needs.
Functionality and capabilities
This model offers 8 digital inputs (DI) and 6 digital outputs (DO) of the PNP type, as well as analog inputs and outputs (AI/AO), allowing integration with a wide range of sensors and actuators. The processing speed of 240 ns/step guarantees a quick response to signal changes and precise process control. The controller has 50 kB of memory, sufficient to store control programs of medium complexity. Communication is via RS-232 and RS-485 ports, enabling integration with other devices on the network.
The XEC-DP14E controller supports popular PLC programming languages – Ladder Diagram (LD), Sequential Function Chart (SFC), Structured Text (ST) and Instruction List (IL) – giving the user a great deal of freedom in creating control logic. Built-in diagnostic functions, such as a watchdog timer and detection of memory and input/output errors, increase system reliability and facilitate troubleshooting. Power supply in the range of 110-240 VAC ensures compatibility with various voltage standards. The ability to mount one optional module allows for further expansion of the controller's functionality.
Construction and application
LS Electric XEC series controllers are known for their solid construction and high quality workmanship. The XEC-DP14E model is particularly useful in applications requiring reliable control of discrete processes and in monitoring and control systems of analog parameters. Thanks to its compact design, the controller can be mounted in control cabinets with limited dimensions. The ability to expand with additional I/O modules allows the controller to be adapted to changing application needs. The use of characteristic C for circuit protection provides resistance to short-term current surges, which is particularly important when starting devices with motors or other elements with high power consumption.
