Power and Precision in a Cordless Edition

A 190 mm cordless circular saw powered by the 40V Max XGT system is designed for heavy-duty outdoor work where access to the electrical grid is difficult or impossible. Thanks to the brushless BLDC motor, the tool achieves an no-load speed of 6000 rpm, enabling fast and clean cutting in wood and composite materials. A key element of the construction is the base made of magnesium casting – this material not only significantly reduces the overall weight of the device (EPTA weight approx. 4.4–4.7 kg) but also ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage during daily use on construction sites.

Intelligent Control and Work Safety

The built-in ADT (Automatic Torque Drive) technology automatically adjusts torque and cutting speed to the current material resistance. This prevents the motor from losing power during more difficult cuts while avoiding overloads, which are indicated by a flashing green overload indicator light. For operator safety, the tool features soft start, eliminating sudden jerking at startup, and an electric brake that stops the blade shortly after releasing the trigger. An additional advantage is the AWS (Auto-Start Wireless System) function, which wirelessly starts the Makita construction vacuum cleaner when the saw is turned on – this solution eliminates the need for manual cable connections and maintains cleanliness in the cutting zone.

Application and Mounting Flexibility

The tool offers a wide range of cutting depths: up to 62.5 mm at a 90° angle and 44.5 mm at a 45° angle. The ability to set the base tilt angle up to 48° allows for precise bevel cuts without the need for additional clamps or adapters. Importantly for professionals working with guide rails – the saw is directly compatible with them, eliminating the need to purchase special adapters. The kit includes two 4.0 Ah Li-ion batteries (model BL4040) and a DC40RA charger, ensuring continuous operation even under intensive use. The entire set is transported in a robust MAKPAC system case, which protects the tool and accessories during transport.

XPT (Xtreme Protection Technology) further increases the device's resistance to dust and moisture, enabling work in more challenging atmospheric conditions without risk of electronic or drive mechanism failure. The conveniently located lock-on button facilitates prolonged cutting without continuously holding the trigger. Thanks to its compact design and low weight, the saw does not fatigue the hands even during hours of work on complex carpentry or finishing projects.
