Working with wood, chipboard, or OSB requires a tool that not only cuts precisely but, above all, responds to changing conditions in real time. This is exactly what distinguishes the HS003GZ model from the XGT series – it is not just a standard circular saw that simply rotates the blade. Thanks to the brushless BLDC motor and advanced ADT (Automatic Torque Drive) technology, the device automatically analyzes the load and adjusts the rotational speed. What does this mean in practice? When you encounter a harder knot or perform a deep cut, the tool automatically switches to high-torque mode, providing the necessary force to complete the task without the risk of binding. Conversely, during lighter work or angled cuts, it switches to high-speed mode, resulting in faster work progress and lower energy consumption.

Working Comfort and Integration with Dust Extraction System

One of the biggest challenges when using circular saws is safety and cleanliness of the work area. This model solves the dust problem with the AWS (Auto-start Wireless System). After pairing the device with a MAKITA vacuum cleaner (e.g., models DVC864LZX or DVC265ZXU) via Bluetooth, the vacuum starts automatically when the saw is turned on and shuts off when the saw stops. There is no need for manual control of additional equipment – the installer simply focuses on the cutting line.

Additionally, the design has been refined for ergonomics:

• Dual LED lights illuminate the cutting line with a delayed shut-off function, allowing precise tracking of the path even in poor workshop lighting.
• ADT status LED indicates the current operating mode (off – high torque, on – high speed), providing full control over the cutting process.
• Electric brake ensures rapid blade stop after releasing the trigger, increasing user safety.
• Chip blowing function effectively clears the cutting line of sawdust, improving visibility during long cuts.

Construction Durability and Application Versatility

The base made of magnesium casting not only reduces the overall weight of the device (approx. 4.4 kg without battery) but, above all, provides the rigidity necessary for precise angled cuts. The saw allows for a bevel angle adjustment of up to 56°, opening possibilities for performing complex carpentry joints without the need for additional clamps or guide rails (although the possibility of mounting a guide rail adapter is provided).

The maximum cutting depth at a 90° angle is an impressive 68.5 mm, allowing thick beams or structural panels to be processed in a single pass. At a 45° angle, this depth decreases to 47.5 mm, and at the maximum bevel of 56°, it remains at 35.5 mm – these values are sufficient for most construction and carpentry applications. The device is compatible with 40V max XGT series batteries (models 2.5 Ah BL4025 and 4.0 Ah BL4040), ensuring high performance even under intensive use. The no-load rotational speed reaches 6000 rpm, ensuring smooth operation with various materials.

It is worth noting the dust and moisture protection system (XPT), which extends the power tool's lifespan in demanding construction conditions. The tool supplied in the box does not include batteries or a charger – it is a "body" version intended for professionals who already own the XGT platform or plan to expand their machine park with this specific cutting model. Registering the device with the manufacturer allows you to take advantage of an extended warranty of up to 3 years, which is standard for the MAKITA XGT series upon fulfilling online registration requirements.
