This tool represents a new generation of cordless power tools from the XGT series, designed to handle the most demanding tasks in professional conditions. Thanks to the brushless BLDC motor and a working voltage of 40 V, the device generates an impressive torque of up to 140 Nm (in hard mode), allowing for effective drilling in steel up to 20 mm in diameter or in wood up to 50 mm. The compact overall length of just 181 mm is not just a matter of aesthetics – it is a real benefit for installers working in tight recesses, near ceilings, or in hard-to-reach places where larger models simply do not have room to maneuver.

Intelligent control and operational safety

A key element of the design is a two-stage mechanical gearbox, which gives the user full flexibility. In the first gear (0–650 rpm), high torque is achieved, ideal for drilling large holes or tightening strong connections, while the second gear (up to 2600 rpm) speeds up work with smaller diameters and screwing. Importantly, electronics support this process: the AFT (Active Feedback Sensing) system automatically shuts off the motor in the event of sudden bit or drill binding, significantly reducing the risk of wrist injury from so-called "kickback". Additionally, electronic torque adjustment offers up to 41 settings in the first gear and 21 in the second, allowing for precise adjustment of tightening force without the risk of damaging the material or thread.

Durability and ergonomics in practice

The device is equipped with XPT (XPT Protection) technology, which increases resistance to dust and moisture, extending the life of internal mechanisms even in difficult construction conditions. Two LEDs with delayed dimming provide bright illumination of the work area even after releasing the trigger, eliminating shadows cast by the operator's hand. The tool is supplied in a MakPac type 3 system case, which not only protects the equipment during transport but also facilitates its integration with other brand tools. It is worth remembering that this model is sold as "body only" – without battery and charger – making it an ideal addition for users who already own the XGT 40V battery ecosystem (e.g., BL4025 or BL4040).

The set also includes a belt hook and a side handle (long), which increases stability when drilling larger diameter holes or working at a vertical angle. The entire construction is based on solid gearbox mechanics, which ensures a high impact frequency (up to 39 000 impacts/min in the second gear), effectively crushing material during hammer drilling in concrete or brick. This tool is for those seeking a compromise between the powerful 40V system and the compactness of traditional 18V/20V Max models.
