Application and performance in construction work

This tool has been designed for intensive construction work, where speed and reliability in joining wooden elements are key. The nailer is ideal for assembling frame structures, fastening floor beams, rafters, or roof decking. Thanks to its ability to handle nails from 50 to 90 mm in length, it allows for effective joining of thicker profiles, which is essential in timber construction and when creating terraces and fences.

High work efficiency results from the use of a brushless motor and compatibility with high-capacity batteries. On a single charge with a 5,0 Ah battery set, approximately 1000 shots can be performed, significantly reducing downtime. The tool works with the entire LXT 18 V system, supporting cells with capacities from 2,0 to 6,0 Ah, providing flexibility in choosing a power source depending on availability at the construction site.

Functionality and work ergonomics

A key element affecting user comfort is the ability to choose the operating mode. The user can switch between single shot mode (requiring a trigger pull after each hit) and sequential mode (contact mode), which allows for rapid driving of a series of nails with consecutive presses of the contact tip. Such flexibility is invaluable for various tasks – from precise assembly of load-bearing elements to rapid decking installation.

Driving precision is ensured by a non-slip contact tip, which facilitates work even at an angle or in hard-to-reach places. The driving depth is smoothly adjustable via a knob, allowing for perfect adjustment of the impact force to the hardness of the wood and preventing nails from being driven too deep or protruding above the surface. An additional advantage is the LED diode with a delayed off function, which illuminates the work zone after a shot, making it easier to control the quality of the connection in low light.

The tool is equipped with two hooks: one dedicated to hanging on a tool belt for easy access while working at heights, and a second allowing for the safe suspension of the nailer directly on a rafter or structural beam. This ensures the tool is always within reach and does not block the workspace.

Durability and set completeness

Construction sites often involve difficult weather and dusty conditions. The XPT (Xtreme Protection Technology) applied in this model increases the device's resistance to moisture and dust, translating into a longer mechanism lifespan and lower failure rates in harsh environments. Low vibration levels (3,5 m/s²) and ergonomic design minimize operator fatigue during long work sessions.

The set is delivered in a durable plastic case with a dedicated insert protecting the tool and accessories from damage during transport. The kit includes two BL1850B batteries with a capacity of 5,0 Ah and a DC18RC fast charger, allowing for continuous work – while one battery is working in the tool, the second is charging in the charger. Additional equipment includes a contact tip adapter allowing for a change in the angle of action and an Allen key for any service adjustments.

Using the tool requires consideration of its physical parameters: without the battery, it weighs 4,6 kg, and the total mass with a cell is approximately 5 kg to 5,4 kg. The device supports nails with a diameter of 2,9–3,3 mm joined by tape at an angle of 20°–22°, and the magazine holds from 36 to 41 nails depending on the tape manufacturer. The noise level generated during operation is 103 dB(A) acoustic power with an uncertainty coefficient of 3 dB(A).
