It meets the requirements of EN50155 (on-board electronics for rail vehicles) and EN45545-2 (fire safety in rail vehicles) standards, guaranteeing its suitability for railway applications. Additionally, it has a number of protections, such as short-circuit protection, overload protection, overvoltage protection, and reverse polarity protection, protecting both the converter itself and the devices connected to it. Input/output isolation at 4 kVdc provides additional safety.

Flexibility and functionality

The DDR-240B-48 stands out for its high flexibility of use. Parallel operation up to 960W (3+1) allows for the construction of higher power systems. It has a DC OK relay output, informing about the correct operation of the power supply. No minimum load required simplifies integration with various circuits. Output voltage adjustment allows for precise adjustment of parameters to the needs of a specific application. The device is designed to operate in a wide temperature range (-40°C to +70°C) and can be mounted on a DIN rail TS-35/7.5 or 15. The ability to momentarily overload at peak to 150% allows for trouble-free starting of devices with high inrush current – characteristic C allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, therefore it tolerates starting devices with a motor well. Cooling is done by free air circulation, which eliminates the need for additional fans and reduces the risk of failure.
