The DDR-240C-24 from MEAN WELL is a reliable power source designed for demanding industrial applications, particularly in railway applications. Application and design features
The converter is designed for applications requiring high reliability and safety. It meets the stringent standards of EN50155 (on-board electronics for rail applications) and EN45545-2 (fire safety in rail vehicles), making it an ideal solution for power supply systems in trains, trams and other rail vehicles. A wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +70°C) allows it to be operated in harsh environmental conditions.
The converter design allows for parallel operation up to 960W (3+1), allowing you to increase the available power without the need for additional devices. Safety and protection
The converter is equipped with a comprehensive set of protections, protecting both the unit itself and the devices connected to it: short-circuit, overload, overvoltage and reverse polarity protection. Input/Output isolation with a value of 4 kVdc provides additional safety and minimizes the risk of electromagnetic interference. Cooling is done by free air convection, which eliminates the need for additional fans and reduces the risk of failure related to their damage.
