The DDR-240D-24 converter from MEAN WELL is a solid and efficient solution for powering devices requiring a stable 24V DC voltage. Safety and compliance with standards

The DDR-240D-24 model meets the stringent railway standards EN50155 and EN45545-2, guaranteeing safe and reliable operation in environments exposed to vibrations, electromagnetic interference and extreme temperatures. Protections against short circuit, overload, overvoltage and reverse polarity protect both the converter and the devices connected to it. Additionally, high input/output isolation (4 kVdc) increases safety.

Mounting and flexibility

The compact housing, only 40 mm wide, makes it easy to mount the converter on a standard DIN TS-35/7.5 or 15 rail. Parallel operation up to 960W (3+1) allows increasing the output power for more demanding applications. The lack of a minimum load requirement eliminates problems with unstable operation at low current draw. The DC OK relay output informs about the correct operation of the converter, which facilitates diagnostics and monitoring of the power supply system. Output voltage adjustment allows precise adjustment of power supply parameters to the needs of specific devices. Cooling is done by free air convection, which eliminates the need for additional fans and reduces the risk of failure. Momentary peak overload capacity of up to 150% allows for trouble-free starting of devices with high inrush current – characteristic C allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, therefore it tolerates starting devices with a motor well.
