Dual-function ground source heat pump NIBE F1245 R, 12 kW, 180 l DHW tank, stainless steel, 3x400V 065083
Comprehensive heating and hot water in one device
The dual-function NIBE F1245 R ground source heat pump with a capacity of 12 kW is a complete solution for heating single-family houses and preparing domestic hot water. The brine-to-water type device extracts energy from the ground via a ground collector and transfers it to the central heating installation and the domestic hot water tank.
The built-in stainless steel coil tank with a capacity of 180 liters eliminates the need to install a separate boiler or heater - the entire system is enclosed in a compact housing with dimensions of 600 × 620 × 1800 mm. Neopor thermal insulation limits heat loss from the stored water, and a periodic overheating program to a temperature of 58°C effectively prevents the growth of Legionella bacteria.
Three-phase power supply 3×400 V and a modulated compressor allow for seamless adjustment of heating power to the current demand of the building - from economy mode during low load to full performance during freezing days. The maximum supply temperature reaches 65°C, enabling cooperation with both underfloor heating and traditional high-temperature radiators.
Energy efficiency and operating parameters
A COP coefficient at the level of 4.57 (according to EN 14511, at B0/W35) means that for every kilowatt of electrical energy drawn from the grid, the pump delivers more than four times as much heat to the installation. The seasonal SCOP coefficient of 4.9 (cold climate, supply temperature 35°C) translates to an energy class of A+++ for low-temperature heating and A++ at a 55°C supply - one of the highest ratings in the heat pump category.
The R407C refrigerant with a mass of 2 kg operates in a closed circuit. The refrigeration module is enclosed in a separate housing with soundproof insulation, allowing the acoustic pressure level to be maintained at 28 dB(A) measured at a distance of 1 meter - the device operates significantly quieter than most air source heat pumps.
The device can operate standalone or in cascade - connecting up to 9 units is permitted, and for very high demand, a cascade can be created with the dual-compressor F1345 pump. The built-in electric backup heater with a power of 9 kW (3×3 kW) automatically starts as a peak heat source when atmospheric conditions exceed the compressor's capabilities.
Control, communication, and system expansion
A color TFT display with a menu in Polish ensures intuitive operation - the user programs room temperatures, domestic hot water temperature, and ventilation schedules for different times of the day. The control system automatically optimizes the device's operation for maximum comfort and minimum energy consumption.
The integrated communication module allows the pump to be connected to the internet via the NIBE Uplink portal, enabling remote monitoring and changing operating parameters from anywhere in the world via a web browser or mobile app. The Smart Price Adaption function synchronizes the device's operation with dynamic electricity tariffs - the pump automatically increases activity during the cheapest rate hours, lowering bills without sacrificing comfort.
The Modbus interface enables integration with Building Management Systems (BMS). For the installer, a significant structural convenience is the slide-out refrigeration module, which can be mounted or serviced independently of the rest of the device - significantly facilitating transport and maintenance.
Expansion possibilities
The wide range of NIBE accessories allows the F1245 R to be expanded with additional functions:
- NIBE ERS / FLM S45 - ventilation unit with heat recovery (efficiency up to 93%) creating an integrated heating, ventilation, and domestic hot water preparation system;
- NIBE HPAC / PCM S40 / PCS44 - passive and active cooling modules for cooperation with fan coils;
- NIBE ECS / ECS 40/41 - mixing group for connecting additional heating circuits with different parameters (e.g., underfloor + radiators);
- NIBE SOLAR / SOLAR 42 - control for solar collector installations;
- NIBE POOL / POOL 40 - pool heating control;
- NIBE PV + EME 20 - integration with photovoltaic installations, allowing the use of solar energy surpluses for the heat pump's needs;
- NIBE RMU 40 / RTS 40 / HTS 40 - room and internal sensors for precise temperature regulation;
