The dual-function NIBE S1255-12 E EM ground-source heat pump is an advanced heating device with modulated power output ranging from 3-12 kW, equipped with an integrated DHW tank with a capacity of 180 liters. The brine-to-water system automatically adapts to variable heat demand throughout the year, eliminating energy consumption spikes and ensuring lower heating and hot water bills.
Intelligent Control and Modern Features
The device is designed with SMART technology featuring a 2.8" color touchscreen and intuitive Polish-language menu. Built-in antennas enable full remote control via the MyUplink application or myuplink.com website, without the need for an internet connection. The system synchronizes heat pump operation with current weather conditions and enables optimization of cooperation with photovoltaics, a weather station, or current electricity prices in smart-grid systems.
The heat pump is equipped with an inverter compressor ensuring smooth power modulation and electronic circulating pumps with adjustable speed. The built-in thermal energy meter enables precise monitoring of energy production, and the MODBUS TCP/IP function allows integration with building automation systems. Dynamic tariff support enables cost optimization by automatically switching to cheaper electricity tariffs.
Operating Parameters and Energy Efficiency
The system achieves a supply temperature of the upper heat source up to 65°C, enabling efficient heating of buildings even at low outdoor temperatures. The COP performance coefficient is 4.87 (according to EN 14511 at B0/W35), and the seasonal coefficient of performance SCOP for cold climate at a supply temperature of 35°C reaches 5.5. The device achieved the highest energy class A+++ both for supply temperature of 35°C and 55°C, in accordance with the ErP directive.
The refrigerant is ecological R407C, and the total refrigerant charge is 2 kg. The acoustic pressure level ranges from 21-32 dB(A) (according to EN 11203 at B0/W35 at 1m distance), ensuring very quiet operation of the device. Power supply is at 3×400 V, and the starting current is 25 A.
Device Construction and Dimensions
The heat pump has dimensions of 620×1800×600 mm (width×height×depth) and weighs 251 kg. The integrated DHW tank with a capacity of 180 liters is made of enameled steel, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance. The built-in electric module has a power output of 9 kW (adjustment range 2-9 kW), providing effective support for heat pump operation.
The device features a revision box facilitating access and installation, and enables easy removal of the front cover thanks to single-point mounting. The system can cooperate with the NIBE FLM mechanical ventilation module or NIBE heat recovery unit, and support active/passive cooling when using the NIBE PCS/PCM/HPAC module.
