This four-pole surge arrester, classified as Type 1 (class B), is a key element in protecting electrical installations from the effects of current surges caused, for example, by lightning strikes. It is intended for use in industrial plants and as a pre-meter protection element, in accordance with the requirements of VDE-AR-N 4100. It is worth remembering that to ensure optimal energy coordination with the next stage of protection, it is recommended to use a cable with a length of at least 5 meters between the arrester and the next protective device.
