Compact photoelectric sensor for precise object detection
The E3Z-R86 photoelectric sensor is an advanced detection solution in a compact rectangular housing, utilizing retro-reflective technology with MSR function. The device ensures reliable object detection at distances up to 4 meters while maintaining a minimum operating distance of just 100 mm.
Detection technology and design
At the heart of the sensor is a red polarized LED with a wavelength of 680 nm, which, combined with the MSR function, eliminates problems with false signals caused by surfaces reflecting light at different angles. The system operates in Light-ON/Dark-ON switchable mode, allowing for flexible adjustment of the operating logic to the specific requirements of the application.
The PNP output provides a maximum output current of 100 mA with a switching frequency reaching an impressive 1000 Hz. A response time of only 1 ms guarantees instantaneous detection even of fast-moving objects.
The housing, made of high-quality plastic, features dimensions of just 10.8 × 20 × 31 mm, making it ideal for installation in limited spaces. The IP67 protection rating ensures full resistance to dust and short-term immersion in water.
The device operates in a wide temperature range from -25°C to +50°C with a DC supply voltage of 12-24V (±10%). Additional protections include protection against short circuits and reverse polarity.
Installation and configuration
The sensor is equipped with a practical 4-pin M8 connector, enabling quick connection without the need for soldering wires. Manual sensitivity adjustment via a potentiometer allows for precise tuning of detection parameters to the conditions present in a specific application.
LED operating status signaling provides immediate feedback on the device status and its correct operation.
