Mineral wool insulation wrap – effective thermal and acoustic protection

Paroc Section Alucoat T insulation wrap is a high-quality insulation made of rock wool, coated with reinforced aluminum foil. The product is designed for the insulation of heating pipelines, central heating, steam, domestic hot water, air conditioning ducts and industrial installations. Thanks to the use of aluminum foil, the wrap not only provides excellent thermal insulation properties, but also protects against condensation and gives an aesthetic appearance. A self-adhesive tab facilitates and speeds up installation, minimizing time and cost losses.

Properties and application

Paroc Section Alucoat T is characterized by a low thermal conductivity coefficient (0.033 W/(m.K)), which translates into effective reduction of heat loss. Rock wool, as an insulating material, also provides excellent acoustic properties – it dampens sounds and reduces noise in installations. The round shape of the wrap and the star-shaped hole allow it to be fitted to pipes with a diameter of 22 to 28 mm, which increases the versatility of the product. This is particularly useful on construction sites and during renovations, where non-standard pipe diameters are often encountered.

Construction and parameters

The wrap is made of high-quality rock wool with a nominal density of 80-180 kg/m³, which ensures its durability and resistance to compression. The aluminum foil acts as a barrier against moisture and increases the mechanical strength of the product. The thickness of the wrap is 50 mm, which provides optimal thermal insulation in most applications. Reaction to fire class A2L - s1, d0 guarantees a high level of fire safety. Operating temperature up to 250°C allows the wrap to be used in a wide range of industrial and domestic applications.
