Application and Compatibility

The ballast operates with HS type lamps. It is also compatible with SON (T) (Plus), HPL, HPI, and MH lamps with a power of 1000 W and above. It does not support T7, T16, TC-D, TC-L, TC-DD, TC-DEL, TC-TEL, T-R, T26, T38, TC-F, TC-QEL, TC-SEL, HI, LS, or T-U lamp types. Dimming is not possible – it does not support any lighting control protocol. It does not integrate with smart home systems – it does not support Alexa, Google Assistant, or HomeKit.

Construction and Operating Conditions

The enclosure is closed. The protection class according to IEC 61140 is not specified. The IP protection rating is not classified. This means it is not designed for installation in locations exposed to moisture or dust without additional shielding. It operates at a voltage of 230–240 V / 50 Hz. Maximum winding temperature: 130 °C. Storage temperature: from -25 °C to +80 °C. Temperature difference between the winding and the ambient environment during operation: max. 70 °C.

What to Know Before Installation?

Do not attempt to connect it to lamps other than HS – other types are not supported by this model. Do not assume it is moisture-resistant – the enclosure provides no protection against water or dust and has no IP rating or protection against electric shock. Do not use it as part of a lighting control system – it does not support any communication protocol or remote control.
