Ballast for Sodium and Mercury Lamps

Designed exclusively for use with HI (high-intensity discharge) and HS (high-pressure sodium) lamps, this ballast supports a single 400 W light source. It is not compatible with any other lamp types — it does not work with T7, T16, TC-D, TC-S, or other standard fluorescent or LED solutions.

It features a closed construction and includes strain relief functionality — meaning the connection wires are physically protected against pulling and mechanical damage during installation or operation. It does not support any lighting control systems — there are no triac dimmers, DALI, 0-10 V, PWM, or integration with smart systems. This device operates solely as a classic, conventional ballast — without any control electronics.

Dimensions are 166 mm in length, 102 mm in width, and 84 mm in height. The enclosure is closed, but no IP protection rating is specified — use in environments exposed to moisture requires additional protection. No protection class according to IEC 61140 is indicated — installation must be carried out in accordance with applicable safety regulations.

This device is intended solely for maintaining the operation of existing installations with sodium or mercury lamps — where current stabilization is required without additional functions. Installation requires knowledge of standard procedures for HID circuits — there is no room for experiments or adaptations.

If you have old street, industrial, or hall lighting with 400 W HI/HS lamps — this ballast may be its natural replacement. If you plan to switch to LED or implement lighting control — this will not be the solution.
