For HS-type lamps – compact electronic ballast

The ballast is designed exclusively for use with HS-type HID (High Pressure Sodium) lamps with a power rating of 100 W. It does not support other lamp types – it is incompatible with TC-D, TC-L, T7, T16, T26, or any other types, even if they appear similar. This is not a universal ballast; it operates only with this specific light source type.

Simple installation, no dimming function

Constructed with a lightweight plastic housing, it measures 150 x 90 x 37 mm – compact, but not fully "plug-and-play". Installation requires wiring and mechanical mounting, as it lacks strain relief. There is no dimming capability – it does not support 0-10 V, DALI, triac, PWM, or any other control system. It cannot be controlled via a switch, potentiometer, or network. This is a simple, fixed ballast – turn it on, and it lights up.

Compatibility and safety

Operates at 220–240 V and 50/60 Hz – standard for most European installations. The IP20 protection rating indicates it is intended solely for use in dry indoor environments – it is not suitable for damp locations or outdoor use. The absence of IEC 61140 protection class means there is no protection against contact with live parts – installation must be carried out within an enclosure or in a location inaccessible to users. It holds CE and ENEC certifications, meeting European requirements for electrical equipment.

There is no inrush current limiting function – upon switching on, a peak inrush current of up to 33 A (for 0.5 ms) may occur. This is normal for this type of device, but it is advisable to verify whether a Type B 16 A miniature circuit breaker (MCB) is suitable for this load.
