Igniter SND 57 220-240V 50/60Hz 913700184966

Operates exclusively with high-pressure sodium lamps (SON) rated 50–70 W

This is an electronic igniter designed solely for circuits with high-pressure sodium lamps—it is not suitable for fluorescent, metal halide, or low-pressure sodium lamps. Its function is simple: deliver a sufficiently strong pulse to ignite the gas within the lamp, then disconnect from the circuit. It has no additional features—it does not regulate current, measure temperature, or communicate with the system. Once the lamp is ignited, it operates independently, while the igniter awaits the next start-up.

Designed for harsh conditions – from -20°C to +85°C

There is no need to replace it in winter or during heatwaves. The SNI-85 housing and operating temperature range (-20°C to +85°C) ensure stable performance even outdoors—in street lighting, tunnels, or industrial halls. The maximum housing temperature reaches 90°C, meaning it can be mounted close to heat sources without risk of overheating. No additional shielding or ventilation is required.

Starts lamps within a maximum of 1185 seconds – safe and repeatable

There is no "stuck" ignition or "trial and error." The igniter attempts to ignite the lamp three times with intervals. If ignition fails within 20 minutes (1185 s), it stops trying—protecting both the lamp and the ballast from damage caused by continuous pulses. The ignition voltage (1.8–2.5 kV) is tailored to the specific parameters of SON 50/70 W lamps—it is neither stronger than necessary nor too weak.

Simple installation – screw terminals and standard cable cross-section

No specialized tools are required. Screw terminals accept cables with a cross-section from 0.7 to 2.5 mm²—typical values for lighting installations. There is no need for pins, sockets, or adapters. Simply strip the cable end to 6 mm and tighten. This is the standard procedure used by installers on construction sites and in service centers—without unnecessary complications.

Compliant with ENEC and CE safety standards

This is not a "copied" or "unofficial" component. It carries ENEC certification and the CE mark, meaning it meets European requirements for electrical safety and overload resistance. This is not merely a formality: if something goes wrong in the installation, such an igniter guarantees it was not the cause.

Operates only in semi-parallel circuits

This is critical information for the installer: do not connect it to a series circuit or "parallel" systems. It is designed exclusively for semi-parallel configurations—where the ballast and igniter are connected such that the pulse travels through the lamp circuit and partially through the ballast. If used in an incorrect circuit, it will either fail to operate or damage other components.
