PiroCoat I is designed for the protection of wall and ceiling penetrations of steel, copper and cast iron pipes without insulation or insulated with PE foam (in combination with a Multitube band). It can also be used for securing passages through walls and ceilings, small diameter combustible pipes, stabilized with glass or aluminum.
PiroCoat I is a one-component swelling paste, which is an aqueous dispersion of synthetic resin. The coating made of this mass, under the influence of high temperature, swells under fire conditions, creating a foamed, fire-retardant thermal insulation layer on the protected surface.
