Limit switch PEM1G13X single‑position A37-A84X
Limit switch with metal housing and roller push actuator
The PEM1G13X limit switch is a single‑position safety device with a parallel roller push actuator, designed for operation in harsh industrial environments. The metal housing, finished with powder coating, provides resistance to mechanical damage and corrosion — without the need for additional insulation or guards.
Switching is performed by a delayed contact, meaning the contact does not activate immediately upon being touched — this helps avoid false signals caused by light impacts or vibrations. Forced disconnect guarantees that the contact opens even if the mechanism fails — a critical feature for applications where safety is paramount.
The switch measures 70 mm × 31.5 mm × 16 mm — compact yet large enough to ensure stable operation under pressure from various directions. The plastic roller (≈12 mm diameter) reduces friction and does not damage the surfaces it contacts — ideal for mounting on machines with moving parts.
Protection and electrical parameters
IP67 protection class means full dust tightness and resistance to temporary immersion — the switch operates even during high‑pressure water washing of machines. It works over a wide temperature range: from –25 °C to +70 °C, making it suitable for both cold rooms and metal‑working environments.
Rated current depends on voltage:
- 3 A at AC-15 (125 V)
- 1.5 A at AC-15 (230 V)
- 1.1 A at DC-13 (24 V)
- 0.22 A at DC-13 (125 V)
- 0.1 A at DC-13 (230 V)
This allows control of various loads — from small relays to low‑power motors. The connection cable simplifies installation and eliminates the need for extra sockets or distribution boxes.
Applications and benefits
The device has no status indicator or electronic interface — it is a purely mechanical limit switch. It acts as a “stop point” in a motion line: for example, limiting the travel of a lathe table, stopping a transport cart, or preventing a crane from exceeding its travel limit.
Its simplicity is an advantage: no electronics = lower failure rate. No configuration or calibration is required. Installation is direct — just mount the housing and connect the cable. For the installer this saves time; for the user it provides reliable performance for years.
Note: it is not intended for safety‑related circuits (e.g., safety circuits) and therefore cannot be used as an E‑stop element. However, as a limit switch for motion control, it performs flawlessly.
