The SML 100 cast iron inspection chamber with a round access shaft is an indispensable element of gravity drainage and sewage systems inside buildings. Construction and properties
The SML system is based on spigotless pipes and fittings connected with clamping sleeves – clamps, straps or connectors. This type of assembly ensures tightness and stability of connections. SML pipes are factory coated with a layer of red-brown primer paint (40 μm) on the outside, which can be additionally painted with any varnish. The internal coating with a cross-linked epoxy resin (120 μm) in ochre color effectively protects against the aggressive action of wastewater. Fittings have an epoxy coating applied by immersion both on the inner and outer surfaces, and then cured at high temperature (approx. 180°C for 45 minutes). This process guarantees exceptional thermal and chemical resistance and a strong bond between the coating and the fitting.
