The SML cast iron inspection chamber 50 with a round access shaft is an element of a spigotless pipe and fitting system, made of gray cast iron. Designed for the construction of gravity drainage and stormwater installations inside buildings, it meets the requirements of EN-877 standard. Construction and Properties
The SML system is based on joining elements with clamping sleeves – clamps, straps and connectors. Pipes and fittings are characterized by high corrosion resistance thanks to the use of an advanced epoxy resin coating. This coating is applied to both internal (ochre – yellowish-brown color, thickness 120 μm) and external surfaces (red-brown primer color, thickness 40 μm), providing comprehensive protection against aggressive wastewater and external factors. The high firing temperature of the coating (approx. 180°C for 45 minutes) guarantees its durable connection with the cast iron element.

- THERMAL AND CHEMICAL RESISTANCE - a coating of fully cross-linked epoxy resin (red-brown on the outside and ocher (yellow-brown) on the inside) is applied to the surface of pipes and fittings, and then fired for 45 minutes at a temperature of approx. 180 ° C. The result is a high-strength joint that provides high thermal and chemical resistance, protecting against aggressive wastewater.
