Cast iron manhole cover SML 125 with rectangular inspection chamber (grey cast iron, cupless) 10128
Socketless system for gravity sewage installations
The SML 125 cast iron cleaning eye with rectangular inspection is an element of a socketless system of grey cast iron pipes and fittings, designed for gravity sewage and drainage installations inside buildings. The system is manufactured in accordance with the EN-877 standard, which guarantees the highest standards of quality and safety.
System elements are connected using appropriate pipe clamps, couplings, bands, and connectors, ensuring leak-proof and durable connections. The cleaning eye with dimensions 0,17 × 0,19 × 0,37 m weighs 10,55 kg, which testifies to its solid cast iron construction.
Construction and advanced protective coatings
Socketless grey cast iron forms the basis of the construction, providing exceptional durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The external surface is covered with a layer of reddish-brown primer with a thickness of 40 μm, which can be additionally coated with a standard colored lacquer or a coating composition.
A key role is played by the internal coating made of fully cross-linked epoxy resin in an ochre (yellow-brown) color with a thickness of 120 μm, applied by spraying. It protects the pipe against aggressive sewage and corrosive processes.
In the case of fittings, the colored coating is applied by immersion to all surfaces and then cured for 45 minutes at a temperature of approximately 180°C. This process creates a high-strength bond between the fitting and the coating.
Fire safety and acoustic comfort
Cast iron products manufactured according to the EN-877 standard are non-flammable and non-combustible, classified as A2 according to EN 13501. In the event of a fire, they maintain their functional properties for many hours - the walls remain impermeable to flames and gases, do not crack, and do not lose their operational capacity.
Thanks to the high density of the cast iron and the buffering effect of the rubber seals at the connecting elements, material sound transmission has been reduced to a minimum. The system offers almost silent drainage, significantly increasing acoustic comfort in office and residential buildings.
Durability and ecology
The system is characterized by high thermal and chemical resistance thanks to advanced epoxy coatings. The smooth internal surface creates favorable conditions for sewage flow and provides resistance to abrasion.
The stability of the construction is manifested by resistance to impact and deformation, as well as low thermal expansion (0,0105 mm/mK), comparable to concrete - this allows for trouble-free concreting of the pipes.
The material is 100% recyclable, produced mainly from iron scrap without wasting natural resources. Installation is easy and fast, requiring no special tools, which translates into time savings during installation.
Compliance with the very strict requirements of the EN 877 and RAL-GZ 698 standards confirms the highest quality of workmanship and the longevity of the entire SML system.
SYSTEM ADVANTAGES:
- NON-FLAMMABLE, FIRE PROTECTION - cast iron products made in accordance with en-877 are non-flammable, non-flammable (A2 flammability class according to EN 13501) and non-toxic (no smoke generation, no flammable or dripping materials due to the heat generated). In the event of fire, they retain their functional properties and reliability for many hours, i.e. their walls remain impermeable to flames and gases, without cracking and showing no loss of performance or significant changes in shape. The integrity of wall and ceiling ducts is also maintained.
- ACOUSTIC PROTECTION - Due to the high density of the cast iron and the buffer effect of the rubber gaskets at the connecting elements, the transmission of material sound has been reduced to a minimum, so this system offers an almost silent drainage. This increases the overall comfort in both office and residential buildings.
- THERMAL AND CHEMICAL RESISTANCE - a coating of fully cross-linked epoxy resin (red-brown on the outside and ocher (yellow-brown) on the inside) is applied to the surface of pipes and fittings, and then fired for 45 minutes at a temperature of approx. 180 ° C. The result is a high-strength joint that provides high thermal and chemical resistance, protecting against aggressive wastewater.
- ANTI-CORROSION PROTECTION - thanks to the use of an improved epoxy resin coating.
- ABRASION RESISTANCE - smooth internal surface creates favorable conditions for the flow of sewage.
- STABILITY - resistance to impact and deformation, resistance to temperature changes, low thermal expansion (0.0105 mm / mK), comparable to the value for concrete, therefore it is possible to concret the pipes without any problems.
- LONG LIFE - durable.
- ECOLOGY - the material is recyclable, 100% recyclable, without polluting the environment. The products are mainly made of ferrous scrap, which means no waste of natural resources.
- TIME SAVING - easy and quick assembly, no special tools required.
