Cast iron elbow SML 100/68 is an element of a spigotless pipe and fitting system, designed for the construction of gravity drainage and stormwater installations inside buildings. Made of socketless gray cast iron, it ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation, meeting the requirements of EN-877 standard. It is a solid solution for both professional installers and end-users who value safety and durability.
Construction and properties
The SML system is distinguished by the lack of sockets, which allows connecting elements using special pipe clamps – sleeves, straps or connectors. The pipes and fittings are covered with layers of primer and epoxy resin, which provides protection against corrosion and aggressive wastewater. The internal coating with epoxy resin (ochre color) with a thickness of 120 μm protects against the action of chemical substances, and the external layer (red-brown) protects against the influence of atmospheric factors. The coating firing process at approx. 180°C for 45 minutes guarantees high connection strength and thermal resistance.
