The cast iron elbow SML 80/15 is an element of a spigotless pipe and fitting system, designed for the construction of gravity sewage and drainage installations inside buildings. Made of ductil iron, it ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation, meeting the requirements of EN-877 standard. It is a solid solution for both professional installers and users who value safety and durability.
Construction and properties
The SML system is distinguished by the lack of spigots, which simplifies the assembly and connection of elements using special pipe clamps (brackets, straps, connectors). The pipes and fittings are covered with a multi-layer protective coating: a red-brown primer on the outside and an epoxy resin in ochre (yellow-brown) on the inside. This combination provides excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion and the aggressive action of sewage. The inner coating is applied by spraying with a thickness of 120 μm, and the outer coating has a thickness of 40 μm. Fittings are additionally coated by immersion in epoxy resin on both surfaces and baked at high temperature (approx. 180°C for 45 minutes), which guarantees exceptional durability of the coating connection with the element.

- THERMAL AND CHEMICAL RESISTANCE - a coating of fully cross-linked epoxy resin (red-brown on the outside and ocher (yellow-brown) on the inside) is applied to the surface of pipes and fittings, and then fired for 45 minutes at a temperature of approx. 180 ° C. The result is a high-strength joint that provides high thermal and chemical resistance, protecting against aggressive wastewater.
