The SML eccentric cast iron reducer 100x80 is a professional sewage installation component made of hubless grey cast iron, designed for connecting pipes of different diameters in gravity systems. The product is part of the SML system manufactured according to the EN-877 standard, ensuring high reliability and durability of connections.

High-quality construction and materials

The component is made of A2 class hubless grey cast iron according to EN 13501, which guarantees non-combustibility and full fire protection for the installation. The external surface is coated with a reddish-brown primer with a thickness of 40 μm, which can be additionally covered with colored lacquer or a coating composition.

A key feature is the specialized internal coating made of fully cross-linked epoxy resin in an ochre (yellow-brown) color with a thickness of 120 μm. The spray-applied coating protects against aggressive sewage and ensures high chemical and thermal resistance. For fittings, the process involves applying epoxy resin to the internal and external surfaces using the immersion method and curing for 45 minutes at a temperature of approximately 180°C.

Operational properties and safety

The SML system offers comprehensive acoustic protection thanks to the high density of the cast iron and the buffering effect of rubber seals at the connecting elements. Material sound transmission has been reduced to a minimum, ensuring almost silent sewage discharge - a significant benefit in both office and residential buildings.

The material is characterized by low thermal expansion (0.0105 mm/mK), comparable to concrete, allowing for seamless concreting of pipes without the risk of cracks or deformations. The smooth internal surface creates favorable sewage flow conditions and provides abrasion resistance.

In the event of a fire, the components maintain their functional properties for many hours - the walls remain impermeable to flames and gases, do not crack, and do not lose their operational capacity. The integrity of wall and ceiling penetrations is maintained.

Practical application and installation

The eccentric reducer is used for the precise connection of sewage pipes with an outer diameter of 100 mm to pipes with an outer diameter of 80 mm in hubless systems. The component allows for the compensation of minor installation inaccuracies and minimizes stress in the connections.

Installation is carried out using appropriate pipe clamps (clamps, bands, or couplings), enabling quick and easy assembly without the need for specialized tools. The system is characterized by high mechanical stability and resistance to impact and deformation.

The product is 100% recyclable, being produced mainly from iron scrap without wasting natural resources. Thanks to the improved anti-corrosion coating, it ensures longevity and reliability throughout the entire service life of the internal sewage installation.

The result is a high-strength joint that provides high thermal and chemical resistance, protecting against aggressive wastewater.
