/br>The SML cast iron eccentric reducer 80x50 mm is a key component of the socketless system of pipes and fittings made of grey cast iron, designed for gravity sewage and drainage installations inside buildings. The product is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the EN-877 standard, which guarantees the highest quality and safety of use. /br>#### Construction and protective coatings /br>The socketless reducer is characterized by an advanced system of protective coatings. The external layer of red-brown primer with a thickness of 40 μm can be additionally coated with a standard colored lacquer or a coating composition. The internal surface is coated with ochre-colored epoxy resin (yellow-brown) with a thickness of 120 μm, applied by spraying for maximum protection against aggressive sewage. /br>In the case of fittings, the coating application process takes place in two stages - first, dip coating of the internal and external surfaces, followed by 45-minute curing at a temperature of approximately 180°C. This process creates an extremely durable bond between the fitting and the coating, ensuring exceptional thermal and chemical resistance. /br>#### Performance properties and safety /br>The SML system offers comprehensive fire protection - cast iron products are non-flammable and non-combustible (flammability class A2 according to EN 13501), non-toxic without the emission of smoke or flammable substances. In the event of a fire, they maintain functionality for many hours, maintaining the tightness of wall and ceiling penetrations. /br>Excellent acoustic protection results from the high density of the cast iron and the buffering effect of rubber seals at the connecting elements. Material sound transmission has been reduced to a minimum, ensuring almost silent sewage flow - an important comfort in both office and residential buildings. /br>#### Durability and ecology /br>The high smoothness of the internal surface creates favorable conditions for sewage flow and ensures abrasion resistance. The design is characterized by dimensional stability - resistance to impact, deformation, and temperature changes. The low thermal expansion (0.0105 mm/mK) is comparable to concrete, allowing for seamless concreting of pipes. /br>Materials are 100% recyclable, produced mainly from iron scrap without wasting natural resources. System installation is extremely simple - it does not require specialized tools, which translates into time savings while maintaining the highest quality of connections.
SYSTEM ADVANTAGES:
- NON-FLAMMABLE, FIRE PROTECTION - cast iron products made in accordance with en-877 are non-flammable, non-flammable (A2 flammability class according to EN 13501) and non-toxic (no smoke generation, no flammable or dripping materials due to the heat generated). In the event of fire, they retain their functional properties and reliability for many hours, i.e. their walls remain impermeable to flames and gases, without cracking and showing no loss of performance or significant changes in shape. The integrity of wall and ceiling ducts is also maintained.
- ACOUSTIC PROTECTION - Due to the high density of the cast iron and the buffer effect of the rubber gaskets at the connecting elements, the transmission of material sound has been reduced to a minimum, so that this system offers an almost silent drainage. This increases the overall comfort in both office and residential buildings.
- THERMAL AND CHEMICAL RESISTANCE - a coating of fully cross-linked epoxy resin (red-brown on the outside and ocher (yellow-brown) on the inside) is applied to the surface of pipes and fittings, and then fired for 45 minutes at a temperature of approx. 180 ° C. The result is a high-strength joint that provides high thermal and chemical resistance, protecting against aggressive wastewater.
