Cast iron tee SML 100X100/45 – reliability and durability in the sewage system

This SML cast iron tee, made of grey cast iron, is a key element of the SML sewage system. This system, compliant with EN-877 standard, is designed for gravity drainage and drainage installations inside buildings. This tee connects pipes with a diameter of 100 mm with a 45-degree branch, ensuring effective wastewater drainage.

Construction and properties

The SML tee is distinguished by its solid construction and high quality workmanship. The grey cast iron from which it is made guarantees resistance to mechanical loads and corrosion. Connections in the SML system are made using special pipe clamps (sleeves, straps, connectors), which ensures the tightness and stability of the entire installation. Both the internal and external surface of the tee are covered with a protective coating:

  • Internal coating: Fully cross-linked epoxy resin in ochre (yellow-brown) color with a thickness of 120 μm – protects against aggressive wastewater.
  • External coating: Red-brown primer paint with a thickness of 40 μm – provides anti-corrosion protection and the possibility of further painting.

  • THERMAL AND CHEMICAL RESISTANCE - a coating of fully cross-linked epoxy resin (red-brown on the outside and ocher (yellow-brown) on the inside) is applied to the surface of pipes and fittings, and then fired for 45 minutes at a temperature of approx. 180 ° C. The result is a high-strength joint that provides high thermal and chemical resistance, protecting against aggressive wastewater.
