Construction and application

Control boxes of type KS, including model KS-3, are used in controlling electric hoists, machine tools, machines and remote control devices, and other electrical circuits with a switching voltage of up to 400V AC/DC. They are ideal where reliability and safety are required. The segmented construction allows for easy expansion of the number of control members, adapting the functionality of the box to specific needs. Designed for operation in dry, closed rooms, but special versions for more difficult climatic conditions are also available.

Technical parameters – what is worth knowing?

The KS-3 box was designed with reliability and safety in mind. The rated insulation voltage is 400V AC (50…60 Hz), and the rated switching voltage is 400V AC or 220V DC. The rated thermal current Ithe is 10A, and the switching current Ie (AC4 at Ue = 400V) is 2.5A. The switching durability at AC4 (Ue = 400V, Ie = 2A) is as much as 1 x 10^5 operating cycles, which proves the high reliability of the device. The cross-sections of the connection cables are 1 or 2 x 0.5…0.75 mm2 for stranded wire and 1 or 2 x 0.5…1 mm2 for solid wire. The diameter of the connection cable is from 10 to 30 mm.
