This 10-port PoE switch from Pulsar, model S108WP, is a reliable solution for powering and data transmission in IP surveillance systems. Designed to work with cameras compliant with the IEEE 802.3af/at standard, it enables flexible and efficient network construction. The device is supplied without a power adapter, giving the user the freedom to choose an appropriate model tailored to their needs. Mounting brackets are included in the set, making installation easier in various locations.

Functionality and performance

The S108WP switch offers 8 PoE ports that provide simultaneous camera power and data transmission over a single UTP cable. Each PoE port supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, delivering up to 30W of power per port, with a total power budget of 120W for all ports. Two additional Uplink ports (10/100 Mb/s) allow the switch to be connected to a network or video recorder. The Long Range function enables data transmission at a distance of up to 250 meters at a speed of 10 Mb/s – an ideal option for extensive installations. Automatic detection of PoE/PoE+ devices ensures compatibility with a wide range of cameras and other network devices.

Construction and mounting

The device is characterized by a compact design (dimensions: 190 x 28 x 105 mm) and a weight of approximately 0.69 kg, making it easy to install in various conditions. The ability to mount on a desk or wall (thanks to the included mounting brackets) increases installation flexibility. Optical LED signaling informs about the operating status of individual ports and the device as a whole. The switch has overload and short-circuit protection, guaranteeing safe and stable operation of the surveillance system. The device operates at a temperature of -10°C to +40°C.
