PoE Switch for powering IP cameras – reliability and performance

SF116WP is a 16-port PoE switch, designed to efficiently power IP cameras operating according to the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. The device is ideal for both home monitoring systems and extensive industrial installations. Thanks to the automatic detection function of devices powered by PoE/PoE+ standard, it ensures compatibility with a wide range of cameras and other network devices. The set includes mounting elements for 19" racks, which facilitates integration of the device into the existing infrastructure.

Functionality and connection flexibility

The switch offers a total of 18 ports – 16 PoE ports (10/100 Mb/s) designed to power cameras and 2 uplink ports (1Gb/s RJ45 and SFP). This allows you to connect additional network devices and create an efficient and scalable network. SFP ports enable data transmission over fiber optics, which increases range and resistance to interference. Please note that ports G1/TP and G1/SFP cannot operate simultaneously, as well as G2/TP and G2/SFP.

Solid construction and reliability

SF116WP is characterized by a solid construction, adapted for mounting in 19" racks (1U height). Optical LED signaling informs about the operating status of individual ports, facilitating diagnostics and network monitoring. The device operates in a wide temperature range (from -10°C to 40°C) and humidity, which guarantees its reliability in various environmental conditions. Power is supplied via a DC jack (48-54V), however, the power adapter is not included in the set. The maximum power consumption is 240W, and each PoE port can deliver up to 30W of power.

Support for IEEE 802.3af/at (PoE+) standards allows you to power cameras directly via the Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for separate power supplies. Two uplink ports (RJ45 and SFP) allow you to connect the switch to other network devices or the backbone network. Included mounting brackets facilitate installation of the device in a 19" rack. The switch automatically detects devices powered by PoE/PoE+, ensuring compatibility and optimal system performance. An LED indicates the operating status of individual ports, making it easier to diagnose problems. The device is covered by a two-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of production.
