This 6-port PoE switch from Pulsar is an ideal solution for video surveillance systems, but it will also work in networks where devices need to be powered via Ethernet cable. The S64 model allows you to simultaneously power up to four IP cameras, eliminating the need for separate power supplies and simplifying installation. Two additional uplink ports allow easy connection of the switch to your existing network infrastructure.
Functionality and flexibility
The S64 switch automatically detects devices powered by the PoE (Power over Ethernet) standard, meaning connected cameras will receive power without manual configuration. This function is available on ports 1 to 4. This makes installation quick and intuitive. Additionally, the switch offers a Long Range mode, which increases the transmission range to 250 meters (at 10 Mb/s), which is especially useful in large installations. Switching between standard mode (100 Mb/s, range 100m) and Long Range mode requires a power cycle.
Specifications and application
The device operates according to IEEE 802.3af/at standards, ensuring compatibility with most IP cameras on the market. Each of the four PoE ports can deliver up to 30W of power, and the total power budget for all PoE ports is 60W. LED indicators on the front panel inform about the device's operating status - power, connection and PoE port activity. Mounting brackets are included in the set, allowing stable mounting of the switch on a flat surface. The desktop power adapter PSD520115 (52VDC/1.15A/60W) is included in the set, eliminating additional purchase costs. This switch will find application not only in video surveillance systems, but also in office or home networks where network devices such as IP phones or access points require power via Ethernet cable.
