Buffered switch-mode power supply – reliable power supply for security and access control systems

This Grade 2 buffered switch-mode power supply, with an output voltage of 13.8V and a current of 3A, is designed to provide uninterrupted power to devices requiring a stable voltage. It is ideal for alarm systems (I&HAS) and access control systems (ACS), guaranteeing their continuous operation even in the event of a mains power failure. The use of a 17Ah battery provides long-term backup, and the START function allows manual switching to battery power.

Construction and functionality

The power supply is characterized by a solid construction based on a metal housing (DC01 steel, 0.7mm) powder-coated in white (RAL9003). Surface mounting simplifies installation, and the ability to mount a lock increases the level of security. Built-in protections – SCP (short-circuit protection), OLP (overload protection), OVP (overvoltage protection), UVP (under-voltage protection), and tamper (against opening the housing) – protect both the power supply itself and the devices connected to it. LED optical signaling informs about the operating status of the power supply. Two relay-type technical outputs are available: EPS (AC mains failure signal) and APS (battery failure signal).

Parameters and compliance with standards

The power supply meets the requirements of EN50131-6:2017 (Grade 1, 2, environmental class II) and EN60839-11-2:2015+AC:2015 (environmental class I). It accepts an input voltage in the range of 200-240V AC. The battery charging current is adjustable and can be set to 0.5A or 1A using a jumper. The energy efficiency of the device is 86%. The power supply has protection against deep battery discharge (UVP) and a dynamic battery status test. The dimensions of the device are 230 x 300 x 82 mm (+8mm distance from the ground). The manufacturer's warranty is 2 years from the date of production.
