Buffered switch-mode power supply – reliable power supply for security systems

This buffered power supply, with an output voltage of 27.6V DC and a current of 2A, is designed to provide uninterrupted power to devices requiring a stable voltage, such as alarm systems (SSWiN) and access control systems (ACS). It meets the requirements of EN50131-6:2017 and EN60839-11:2013 standards, which guarantees its high quality and reliability. The power supply design allows it to work with 2x7Ah batteries, ensuring continuous operation even in the event of a mains power failure.

Functionality and safety in one device

The power supply is characterized by high efficiency (89%) and has a number of protections that protect both connected devices and the power supply itself. These include short-circuit protection (SCP), overload protection (OLP), overvoltage protection (OVP), and over-discharge protection for batteries (UVP). In addition, a built-in tamper switch signals any attempt to open the housing without authorization. EPS and APS technical outputs inform about mains power failure and battery failure, enabling a quick response in case of problems.

Installation and application

The metal housing with dimensions of 230 x 300 x 82 mm provides durability and resistance to mechanical damage. A distance of 8 mm from the ground facilitates cable routing. The power supply is designed for surface mounting and is used in a wide range of SSwiN and KD installations. The battery charging current can be adjusted (0.5A/1A), adapting it to the specifics of the batteries used. LED optical signaling on the housing informs about the operating status of the power supply.
