This pulse buffered power supply is designed to provide uninterrupted power to devices requiring a stabilized 13.8V DC voltage. It is ideal for alarm systems (SSWiN) and access control (KD) systems, where continuity of power is critical for reliable operation. A design compliant with EN50131 and EN60839-11 (Grade 2) standards guarantees a high level of security and meets stringent industry requirements.

Design and functionality

The PSG2-12V3A power supply is characterized by a solid enclosure design, making it easy to integrate into existing systems. Thanks to the ability to operate in buffered and battery mode, it ensures continuous power supply even in the event of a mains power failure. The battery charging current is adjustable (0.5A/1A), allowing it to be adapted to the specifics of the battery used. Additionally, built-in EPS (AC failure) and APS (battery failure) relay outputs enable remote monitoring of the power supply and battery status. Automatic battery testing every 5 minutes allows for early detection of potential problems and prevents failures.

Safety and protection

The implemented protections – SCP (short-circuit), OLP (overload), OVP (overvoltage) and UVP (deep discharge protection) – protect both the power supply itself and the connected devices from damage. Compliance with environmental standards class II ensures safe operation in various conditions. A built-in fuse protects the battery circuit against the effects of short circuits or reverse polarity connection. Efficiency at 86% translates to minimal energy losses and efficient resource utilization.
