Buffered switch-mode power supply – reliable power supply for security systems

This Grade 2 buffered switch-mode power supply, with a voltage of 27.6V and a current of 5A, is a solid solution for alarm systems (SSWiN) and access control (KD). It provides uninterrupted power to critical devices, guaranteeing their proper operation even in the event of a power failure. The power supply design allows for mounting in an enclosure or on a DIN rail (additional bracket required).

Key features and application

The PSG2-24V5A power supply is distinguished by its high efficiency (89%) and a wide range of AC input voltage (200-240V). It is designed to power 24 V DC devices with a current draw of up to 5A. The built-in battery charging circuit (1A/2A, selectable by jumper) ensures that the system remains in standby mode in the event of a mains power failure. Thanks to compliance with EN50131 Grade 2 and EN60839-11:2013 Grade 2 standards, it is ideally suited for professional applications where high reliability and safety are required.

Safety and functionality

The power supply is equipped with a number of protections to protect both the installation itself and the connected devices: SCP (short-circuit), OLP (overload), OVP (overvoltage) and UVP (deep discharge protection). Additionally, it has technical relay outputs of the EPS (AC power failure) and APS (battery failure) type, enabling remote monitoring of the power supply status. Automatic battery testing every 5 minutes increases the system's reliability. Battery connection cables are included in the set.
