Fuse module for monitoring and power systems
This fuse module, designated AWZ592, is a practical solution for voltage distribution in CCTV systems and other applications requiring stable power. The device allows for the safe connection of up to eight receivers, protecting them from overloads and short circuits. It is particularly useful in surveillance systems where multiple cameras are powered from a single source.
Functionality and protection
The LBC8/8x1A/PTC module offers two ways to connect the power supply: using a screw connector or a DC 5.5/2.1 socket. It is equipped with eight independently fused PTC polymer fuses with a value of 1A for the AUX1 ÷ AUX8 power outputs. This means that in the event of a short circuit or overload in one of the circuits, the remaining circuits will continue to operate without interruption. Additional protection is provided by a varistor at the input, which protects the power supply from voltage surges. The activation of the PTC fuse is signaled by LED diodes – a diode L1 going out indicates a problem with the AUX1 circuit, L2 with AUX2 and so on.
Construction and mounting
The module housing has dimensions of 150 x 94 x 42 mm and provides convenient mounting with screws (Ø4mm holes). The device operates in the range of input voltages from 10V to 30V DC, and the current consumption is in the range of 8 mA to 70 mA depending on the input voltage. Screw connections accept wires with a cross-section from 0.51 mm² to 2.05 mm² (AWG 24-12). The module complies with CE and RoHS standards and is covered by a two-year warranty from the manufacturer – PULSAR K. BOGUSZ SP. J..
