This Grade 3 buffered switch-mode power supply, with a voltage of 13.8V and a current of 5A, is a solid solution for ensuring uninterrupted power supply in alarm systems, access control and video surveillance. Designed in accordance with EN50131-6 and EN60839-11 standards, it guarantees high reliability and safety of operation. The device is perfect for both commercial and home installations where protection against voltage drops is required.

Design and functionality

The power supply is characterized by a metal housing (IP44) adapted for surface mounting. It is equipped with a space for a 17Ah battery (dimensions: 304 x 166 x 94 mm), which automatically takes over the power supply of connected devices in the event of a mains power failure. A built-in microprocessor manages the battery charging process (charging current 0.8A) and monitors its condition, ensuring optimal lifespan. Additionally, the power supply has an LCD display showing key operating parameters, such as voltage and current. The START function allows manual switching to battery power.

Safety and protection

The protections used – SCP (short-circuit), OLP (overload), OVP (overvoltage), UVP (deep discharge protection) and tamper (opening the housing/detaching from the wall) – protect both the power supply itself and the devices connected to it from damage. Technical outputs of the OC type (EPS – AC mains failure, PSU – power supply failure, APS – battery failure) and the EXT IN input allow integration with the alarm signaling system and remote monitoring of the power supply status. Optical signaling on the LCD display informs about any failures or irregularities.
