Induction-hardened concrete screw, M12 14.9x90 mm, hexagonal head with flange, zinc flake coated, R-HLX /50pkg/ R-HLX-12X090-HF-ZF

Professional anchoring in reinforced and unreinforced concrete

The R-HLX concrete screw is an advanced solution for fast and durable anchoring in concrete classes C20/25-C50/60. Thanks to induction hardening and a special thread geometry with additional cutting teeth, it enables efficient drilling and installation even in reinforced concrete.

Construction and materials ensuring maximum performance

The body made of manganese steel features increased tensile strength and greater abrasion resistance. Induction hardening guarantees high surface hardness and high core toughness, which translates into long-lasting anchoring durability.

The zinc flake coating (ZF) provides enhanced anti-corrosion resistance. The coating application process does not use acid pickling, eliminating the risk of hydrogen embrittlement of the screws. The hexagonal head with flange allows for comfortable installation using standard tools.

Professional applications and operating parameters

R-HLX screws are suitable for a wide range of applications: railings and handrails, ventilated facades, steel structures and shelving, stadium stands, fences and gates, bumpers, and temporary fixings. They are particularly appreciated in formwork and installations requiring adjustability.

Technical parameters for the M12×90 mm model include a hole diameter of Ø12 mm and an embedment depth of 75 mm. The characteristic tensile strength is 83.1 kN (steel failure), and the shear strength is 41.6 kN. In cracked concrete, the load-bearing capacity is 15.6 kN, and in uncracked concrete, it is 24.6 kN.

Installation and operational safety

Installation follows a simple procedure: drill a hole with a hammer drill or dustless drill to the required depth, remove dust (minimum 4 manual pump blow-outs), and then screw in using an impact wrench or socket until fully seated. When using a dustless drill, the hole cleaning step is not required.

Adjustability allows the anchored element to be unscrewed by up to 10 mm – this operation can be performed twice while maintaining the permissible thickness of the anchored element (Tfix). Installation requires the use of eye and hand protection.

The product has seismic resistance certificates of category C1-C2 and fire resistance R30-R120 (included in ETA). The minimum concrete element thickness is 120 mm for diameter M12.
