Professional expansion anchor for demanding applications
The FIX 12x60mm expansion anchor is a high-quality fastener made of polyamide (PA), designed for professional anchoring in solid substrates. The two-way expansion mechanism guarantees exceptionally secure fastening, while the special design with anti-rotation wings prevents the sleeve from rotating during screw tightening.
Construction and technical parameters
The expansion anchor with a diameter of 12mm and a length of 60mm is made of polyamide (PA). Special protrusions on the surface of the sleeve significantly increase grip against the hole walls.
The two-way expansion mechanism allows the expansion anchor to expand evenly in two directions during screw tightening. This advanced design ensures maximum contact surface with the substrate and eliminates the risk of the connection loosening under load changes.
Applications and compatibility
Handrails and balustrades, bathroom fixtures such as handles and shelves, cable management systems, and electrical installations. It is also effective for mounting pipes and sanitary installations, as well as interior decorations.
Concrete from class C20/25 to C50/60, solid clay brick with a minimum strength of 20MPa (e.g., Mz20/2.0), solid silicate brick, and aerated concrete class 600 Mark V - in all these materials, the expansion anchor maintains its high load-bearing parameters.
Installation parameters and load capacity
Correct installation requires drilling a hole with a diameter of 12mm and a minimum depth of 70mm. The anchorage depth of the expansion anchor is 60mm, which ensures optimal load capacity while maintaining a minimum substrate thickness of 90mm. The manufacturer allows fastening close to the edge - the minimum distance from the edge for a conical head is 40mm, and for a hexagonal head 60mm.
In C20/25 concrete, the expansion anchor achieves an average ultimate load capacity of 1,82 kN, a characteristic ultimate load capacity of 1,20 kN, a design load capacity of 0,66 kN, and a recommended working load capacity of 0,47 kN. In solid clay brick, these parameters are respectively: 5,80 kN, 4,00 kN, 1,60 kN, and 1,14 kN. In solid silicate brick, it achieves: 4,06 kN, 3,00 kN, 1,20 kN, and 0,86 kN.
