Magnetic filter for central heating system protection

The MG1 magnetic filter is a reliable solution to protect central heating systems from the effects of corrosion and sediment. Installed under the boiler, it captures both magnetic and non-magnetic contaminants, extending the boiler's life and improving the efficiency of the entire system. Its compact dimensions make it ideal for installation in areas with limited space.

Construction and application

The MG1 filter is designed for installation on the return side of the central heating system, directly before the boiler. This effectively stops contaminants resulting from the corrosion of steel and cast iron components from reaching the boiler's delicate parts. Made of durable materials – PA66 polyamide reinforced with fiberglass and AISI 304 stainless steel – it ensures long-lasting and reliable operation. The stainless steel filter cartridge guarantees effective capture of even small particles up to 800 μm in size. A strong neodymium magnet with a power of 11,000 gauss provides high efficiency in separating magnetic contaminants, even at elevated water temperatures (up to 90°C).

Technical parameters and compliance

The MG1 filter is designed for use in central heating systems with water or a water-glycol mixture. The maximum working pressure is 3 bar, and the operating temperature is between 0°C and 90°C. The connection fittings are made in accordance with UNI-EN-ISO 228 (3/4” MF). Thanks to its design, the filter provides low hydraulic resistance, minimizing the impact on the flow of the heating medium in the installation. The product has been tested in accordance with IEC 60404-5 and ASTM A977 standards, confirming its safety and reliability.
