Pulse relay with memory – lighting and more control

The bistable relay RPB-1PM-UNI is a versatile device designed for controlling lighting in public and residential buildings, as well as in other applications requiring circuit switching using pulses. Its versatility results from the ability to cooperate with various types of momentary buttons and a wide range of supply voltage. The memory design allows maintaining the circuit state after a power failure, which is particularly useful in automation and control systems.

Functionality and application

The RPB-1PM-UNI relay offers two operating functions: with memory (NORMAL) and without memory (RESET). In memory mode, each pulse at the control input changes the state of the relay (turns on or off), and this state is remembered even after the power is cut off. RESET mode works on the principle of switching the state with each pulse, but when the power is turned on again, the relay returns to the off state. This solution allows creating lighting control systems where several buttons can control one device.

Construction and parameters

The relay is designed for mounting on a 35 mm rail, which facilitates its installation in electrical panels. Its compact dimensions (width 17.5 mm) allow for efficient use of space. A 1P switching contact with a load capacity of 16 A / 250 V AC ensures reliable circuit switching. The universal rated voltage of 12...240 V AC/DC makes the relay compatible with various power sources. The contact made of tin silver (AgSnO2) guarantees high durability and spark resistance. Additionally, LEDs indicate the status of the supply voltage and the output state of the relay, which facilitates diagnostics and monitoring of the device's operation. Maximum inrush current is 30A.
