Professional Surge Protection for High-Voltage Systems
Class I+II (T1+T2) surge arrester is an advanced solution specifically designed for high-voltage applications with a rated voltage of 690 V AC. The plug-in construction enables quick installation on a 35 mm DIN rail, occupying only 4 modules (width 36 mm per pole).
Operating Parameters and Protection Performance
The device provides comprehensive protection through the combination of two protection classes. The peak current Iimp is 22 kA (10/350 μs impulse test), ensuring effective resistance to direct atmospheric discharges. The maximum discharge current Imax reaches 100 kA, while the rated discharge current of 25 kA ensures stable operation under normal conditions.
The protection level between the phase conductor and neutral is 4 kV, effectively protecting connected equipment from harmful surges. VT technology with a maximum continuous operating voltage of 960 V AC guarantees safe operation even with significant voltage deviations in the network.
Construction and Installation Compatibility
The arrester is designed for three-phase networks in a 3+1 configuration, comprising four poles—three phases and a neutral conductor. This configuration ensures complete protection of the entire power supply system. The construction supports various types of electrical connections: rigid single-core and multi-core wires up to 35 mm², as well as flexible wires with ferrule terminals up to 25 mm².
The device is equipped with a potential-free contact enabling remote fault signaling, which is crucial for monitoring the technical condition of installations. An optical signal on the device allows for immediate identification of the need for replacement.
Applications and Operational Benefits
Thanks to the dual protection class T1+T2, there is no need to use additional devices—a single solution protects against both direct atmospheric discharges (Class I) and secondary surges (Class II).
The width of 36 mm per pole allows for efficient space utilization in distribution boards, while standard mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail ensures installation versatility.
