Protects drinking water from contamination – in accordance with EN 1717

The RV281-11/4A anti-contamination check valve operates as an independent protective device that prevents backflow of water from the installation into the supply network. It is designed for direct installation immediately after the water meter – in both domestic and industrial water supply systems where risks of back-siphonage, back-pressure, or suction are present. It meets the requirements of standard EN 1717 for the protection of drinking water up to contamination category 2.

Construction that operates quietly and reliably

The valve features a closing spring that keeps the valve disc in the closed position when there is no flow. Upon the occurrence of flow pressure – even as low as 50 mbar – the valve opens smoothly without hydraulic shocks. As a result, it generates neither noise nor vibrations, which is crucial in residential installations.

The housing is made of dezincification-resistant brass (DZR) – a material highly resistant to corrosion under drinking water conditions. The sealing element is EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene), which maintains flexibility within a temperature range of 2 to 65 °C and is compatible with drinking water. The connections feature internal BSPP-G threads (ISO 228-1), ensuring standard compatibility with pipes and fittings.

A maximum working pressure of 16 bar at 20°C and PN 16 class allow safe operation even in high-pressure systems. A Kvs value of 28 indicates low pressure loss – the installation operates efficiently without unnecessary energy losses.

Warranty and certifications – only what is verified

The valve carries a DVGW water certificate – the only confirmed certificate among available data, yet sufficient for legal installation in water supply systems in Poland and the EU. There are no UL, FM, KIWA, or ULC certificates – these are not required for this type of application.

Installation is possible in any orientation – horizontal or vertical. The connection length is 80.5 mm on each side – facilitating installation even in confined spaces. The surface remains in its raw state – there is no chrome plating or paint; this is an intentional solution for humid and chemically aggressive environments.

Manufacturer's warranty: 5 years from the date of production – one of the longest among similar solutions on the market.
