Expand the possibilities of your air conditioning system with the MFBR IMOTO module

The MFBR IMOTO multifunctional module is the key to full control and integration of the Imoto air conditioner with other systems in the building. Compatible with “X” generation indoor units, this module opens up new control and monitoring possibilities for both professional installers and end users. Thanks to it, air conditioning becomes an element of a smart home or building, adapting to individual needs and providing optimal comfort.

Functionality and application

The MFBR IMOTO module is equipped with a potential-free ON/OFF contact and an RS485 communication port, enabling the connection of additional devices and integration with external systems. These possibilities include:

• Central control: Integration with BMS (Building Management System) Modbus allows for centralized management of air conditioning throughout the building.
• Weekly control: Connecting the Sava WM weekly controller enables programming the air conditioner’s operation according to a schedule, optimizing energy consumption.
• Alarm signaling: Output to the alarm center provides additional security and informs about any failures or malfunctions in the operation of the air conditioner.
• Remote control: The ability to connect a WiFi module (available separately) expands functionality with remote control of the air conditioner using a smartphone or tablet.
• Dry Contact: Cooperation with the Dry Contact RDCX module allows integration with external control and automation systems.

The kit also includes a PCB housing for installation under the IMOTO panel and the necessary connection cables.

Configuration and installation flexibility

The MFBR IMOTO module offers a wide range of configuration options, tailored to different installation needs:

• Network address: Rotary switches ENC3 and DIP F1 allow you to set the network address in the range of 64 addresses, enabling integration with various BMS systems.
• ON/OFF contact operating mode: The ability to choose the method of connecting ON/OFF contacts (via SWITCH1/SWITCH2 or ON-OFF1/ON-OFF2 terminals) affects the ability to control the air conditioner with the remote control when switched off using the contacts.
• Switch S5: Allows you to select the function – BMS/Sava WM or Drycontact – providing flexibility in adapting the module to specific installation requirements.

Module installation is simple and intuitive, and dedicated housings ensure an aesthetic appearance and protection against damage. Simply open the front panel of the indoor unit, unscrew the display panel and connect the MFBR board adapter to the appropriate connector.
