The iC60N-C50-1 circuit breaker is a key element of every electrical installation, providing effective protection against the effects of short circuits and overloads. This model, with a rated current of 50A and C characteristic, is perfect for protecting circuits with devices with higher inrush currents, such as fluorescent lighting or some electrical appliances. Its versatility is confirmed by the possibility of working in both AC and DC systems.

The iC60N circuit breaker is distinguished by a well-thought-out design that facilitates installation and diagnostics. The possibility of connecting wires with a cross-section from 1 to 35 mm² (solid) or 1 to 25 mm² (stranded) provides flexibility during installation. Particularly appreciated is the ability to remove the circuit breaker without disconnecting the busbar – this is a real time-saver during servicing or modernization of the installation. Additionally, the busbar allows for easy power distribution between rows, and the yellow latches allow for safe manipulation under voltage.

VisiTrip indicators (circuit breaker tripping signal) and VisiSafe (visible contact status) significantly facilitate the identification of problems in the installation. Thanks to them, even after a short inspection of the distribution board, you can quickly locate a faulty circuit. The circuit breaker also has a padlock to increase safety.

Compliance with standards and high short-circuit breaking capacity

The iC60N circuit breaker meets the requirements of IEC/EN 60898-1 (residential construction) and IEC/EN 60947-2 (industry) standards, which guarantees its reliability and safety. It has energy limitation class 3 and surge category 4. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity (Icn) is 6 kA at 230 V, and the Icu capacity according to IEC 60947-2 is as much as 10 kA at the same voltage – ensuring effective protection against the effects of serious failures. It is worth adding that iC60 circuit breakers are characterized by high short-circuit capacities depending on the rated current value, often eliminating the need to use additional fuse links.

This circuit breaker operates in a rated voltage range of 230 V and a frequency of 50 to 60 Hz. It provides an IP20 degree of protection and is adapted to work in an ambient temperature from -35 to 70 °C. Its width is one module, it has a rated insulation voltage Ui of 500 V and a rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp of 6 kV.
