iC60N circuit breaker – reliable installation protection

This single-pole iC60N-D1-1 D 1A circuit breaker (cat. no. A9F05101) is part of the Acti9 series from Schneider Electric, designed to protect against overloads and short circuits in electrical circuits. It is suitable for both domestic, commercial and industrial installations, offering versatile applications thanks to compliance with EN/IEC 60898-1 and EN/IEC 60947-2.

Functionality and safety in one device

The iC60N circuit breaker is characterized by a delayed thermal release (characteristic D), which allows for the safe starting of devices with high inrush currents, such as motors or transformers. The electromagnetic release provides a quick response in the event of a short circuit, minimizing the risk of damage. Additionally, the presence of VisiTrip and VisiSafe indicators significantly facilitates diagnostics and maintenance of the installation. VisiTrip informs about the tripping of the circuit breaker, and VisiSafe shows the state of the contacts – whether they are open, ensuring safety during service work.

Comfort of assembly and use

The design of the circuit breaker has been thought out in terms of easy assembly and operation. The ability to remove a single device without having to remove the busbar is a significant time saving during modernization or repair of the installation. Double terminals allow connection of wires from both the top and bottom, and a large area for circuit marking facilitates identification of the protected circuit. The circuit breaker is adapted for mounting on a DIN rail and has a degree of protection of IP20.

• Short-circuit capacity: The rated short-circuit breaking capacity Icn is 6 kA at 230 V, and the Icu capacity according to IEC 60947-2 is as much as 50 kA at 230 V – this ensures effective protection even in difficult conditions.

• Wire cross-sections: The possibility of connecting solid wires with a cross-section from 1 mm² to 25 mm² and stranded wires from 1 mm² to 16 mm² provides flexibility in choosing the appropriate cables.
